This Week, Show Your Pet How Much You Care

It's the first full week of June, and summer is closer than ever. And while you're having fun and enjoying the sun, why not take some time out of your day to celebrate all of those pet holidays.

And just one? Pet Appreciation Week, which is this week! June 5th through the 11th are your days to show your dog how much you care. Here are some tips on how you can celebrate your furry best friend this week! 

Visit a Dog Park

Exercise and socialization all-in-one! If your dog loves other dogs, the dog park is a great place to take them. They'll get to run around and burn off some energy while playing with some furry friends. If you live in the L.A. area, here are some nearby dog parks. 

Bake Some Biscuits

Homemade biscuits are even better than the store-bought kind, and they have all your love and care put into them! It's actually really simple to make homemade dog biscuits and just requires your oven, flour, salt, water, eggs, and some chicken or beef broth. Keep your eyes peeled this week for a recipe on our blog!

Car Rides

Going through a drive-thru or to a dog-friendly store or restaurant? Bring your pup! You know how much your dog loves rides in the car, and it's a nice, simple thing to do for them. You can even go on a leisurely drive with them, just for fun. Just remember, never leave your dog in your parked car.

Play with Them

Sure, they love playing outside on their own or in the park with their doggy friends, but most of all, they love you! Take a little extra time out of your day to play catch outside with them or run around.

Extra Long Walks

Exercise for you and Fido! Your dog loves their walks, so why not extend them? Go that extra mile (literally) or just an extra ten minutes every day to give them a walk that's just a little longer. It's not only good for them, they'll love it!
