Best Dog & Owner Costumes 2019

Halloween is just around the corner - but it's not too late to think of the perfect costume for you and your dog! If you're celebrating Halloween this year with your dog by your side, here are some ideas for dog and owner paired costumes to rock this year's Halloween season. 

The Little Mermaid and Sebastian

With not one, but two upcoming adaptations of Disney's The Little Mermaid, it's the perfect year to dress up as your favorite mermaid and her best crustacean pal. With your pup as Sebastian, you can be Ariel, Prince Eric, or get the whole family or friend group involved and go as multiple characters from the classic movie.  

Rafiki and Simba

Since the live-action Lion King just came out this past year, a Lion King-themed costume would be perfect. If you have a small dog, this costume is ideal because you can even hold them up just like the famous baboon does during "Circle of Life." If you have two dogs, they could be both Simba and Nala!

Daenerys and Dragon

Since the world said goodbye to Game of Thrones this year, it's the perfect costumed send-off to the series. Since there are plenty of dragons in the show, your dog (or dogs) can star as any of them. Just make sure your dog knows that they won't actually be able to fly with their fake wings.

Han Solo and Chewbacca

With the new Star Wars movie coming out this December, dressing up as this duo will get you tons of smiles (and maybe tears...). It especially works if your dog hates wearing costumes - because they already have the fur thing down! And if you just throw on a robe and grab a light saber, you're good to go.

Trading Places

And a last fun costume idea? Trade places with your pup! You'll dress as your dog and they'll dress as you! Make sure to match the style so it's very obvious your pup is supposed to be you - they can wear your favorite color and even sport a little wig that matches your hair.
